Luno (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Luno mobile application (“Luno” or “the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Luno on iOS.

Summary

Luno is designed to help you read real-world Chinese text and study characters. We do not require an account. Most of your data stays on your device. The App does not send your photos or study data to our servers.

The only optional internet feature is Cloud OCR, which sends images to Google Cloud Vision only when you choose to use it and provide your own API key.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not:

Require you to create an account or sign in
Operate our own servers that receive your photos, captures, or study progress
Sell your personal information
Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App (as of the effective date above)

Information Stored on Your Device

Luno stores the following locally on your iPhone or iPad:

Study flashcards	Characters/words you save, review history, and spaced-repetition scheduling
App settings	Preferences such as OCR language and study options
